Dumbarton Cine, Video & Digital club is a club which consists of men and women with an interest in photography and video filming and editing. We meet three times per week in Dumbarton CE Centre, our meeting nights are Tues & Friday 7pm-9pm and Wednesdays 1pm-5pm. Tuesday`s are planned for working on projects, Fridays are for viewing members projects or archive footage that has been converted and Wednesdays are for converting cine or video to digital DVD.
The club has been in existence since 1988 as Dumbarton Camera Club and with the evolution of video and digital our members have coped with the change from 35mm,16mm,8mm film to the digital age. In making this transition training has become an important part of the club and old and new members are always available to help those less knowledgeable in editing techniques or burning film to DVD.
We have also through the years managed to compile a comprehensive history of the local area in film. Some of this has been converted from cine to digital, but is still an invaluable archive history of West Dumbartonshire and the surrounding areas. Our enthusiasts also participate in filming local events for publication and archive use.
If you have any old film that you would like converted, don`t hesitate to contact us for further details.
Either visit us on the aforementioned days or contact us at DCVDClub@hotmail.co.uk
I look forward to meeting with you. |
